While the circumstances of my coming to be here were not favorable, I can't say the same about the time spent here. An unplanned visit, more mishap than adventure, has given me the gift of experiencing this treasure I would have otherwise missed.
A sleepy town, nestled in Lake Memphrehog, in the North East Kingdom, is full of an inviting charm and friendly locals. Overall, watching boats go by, busking on main street, and the multiple community events kept me as busy as I like to be, in work and leisure. The store flourished here, although I let a few things go for less than I'd like, they wanted to stay. Some were born here after all. I learned many new things, and I'll carry some of this place with me for a while, no doubt.
As lovely as it's all been, and as surreal as this town is on its surface, I'm also looking forward, as I always an, of moving on.
